Mario Andretti: A Driving Passion by Gordon Kirby is a comprehensive, richly illustrated biography of one of the greatest and most versatile drivers in motorsport history.
Kirby traces Mario Andretti’s remarkable journey from his childhood in post-war Italy to his rise as a champion in IndyCar, Formula One, sports cars, and beyond. The book covers key races, major victories, and the challenges across his long career, with insights from Andretti himself and those who worked with him. It features extensive photography, behind-the-scenes details, and a clear overview of the teams, cars, and eras that defined his success.
This one is signed “To Dick, all the best, Mario Andretti.” Generically signed copies sell well over $400. I thought $200 was much more fair for this copy considering the personalization. If your name is Richard, you’re in for quite a bargain.
This book is free from major defects. The cover has slight rounding on the corners from years between shelves. The sleeve has minor tears on the edges, but the pages themselves are free from major defects.
