On a Destroyer’s Bridge // Holoway H Frost

$30.00

On a Destroyer’s Bridge by Commander Holloway H. Frost, USN, is a practical guide to handling and commanding early 20th-century flush-deck destroyers. Written in 1935 by a seasoned naval officer, the book draws on real experience to explain ship handling techniques, maneuvering in various conditions, formation steaming, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the officer on the bridge. It covers navigation, tactical situations, and the skills needed to operate these fast, responsive warships effectively. This copy is certainly a student’s copy. It has underlines and marks in the margins. The pages are readable and complete, but there are plenty of dog ears, coffee stains, and other such defects. Likewise, the spine is currently doing its job, but could begin to tear with rough handling or overuse. The text on the cover is worn and hard to read. This is a true-blue, used, student copy.
